List of Betting Progressions
On previous pages you've learned what a betting progression is and why they
work even though they only break even mathematically. I gave you a couple of
systems to show you how they work. Below is a list of the various systems
available to use and each ones author. At the bottom of the page, you will find a
reference list. Each author thoroughly explains his system, so if you find one
that you like, read the book. I believe all of the books are available through the
book sellers to your left.
The way a progression is listed in the table is with a prefix W followed by a
number generally from 1 to 6. The W stands for winning, and means a positive
progression where one only follows the betting sequence while winning. The
simple systems all flat bet one unit when you are losing. Therefore, W(3) means
the third bet of the sequence. Some of the authors carry out their progression
to eight, ten or more bets, but I generally stop at the W(6) bet due to the small
number of times you will have more than 6 wins in a row. The bets are in units,
so simply multiply the number by your bet size.
Notes: Systems 3, 4, and 6 actually begin with a one unit bet as the first win
(when flat betting one unit when losing) is always one unit. They are listed this
way because the author did so.
The next systems are what I call intermediate systems. They are a little more
complicated, and do not bet one unit when losing. As with the winning sequence
nomenclature, L(1) means the first loss after a winning series. Because this is a
variable number, depending on the last bet followed in the winning series, it
can't be listed as a number. It can be estimated for analysis purposes by
calculating an average L(1), and has to be done to compare the systems.

System 9
System 10
Note: Systems 9 and 10 flat bet 2 units but stop after four losses. They change
tables to find a friendlier dealer.
System 11
System 12
Note: These systems as well as any of the other positive progressions may be
played with one of my two limited negative progressions. Negative progressions
aren't for the meek, but they are very useful at times, and losses are no greater
than when flat betting. But that's material for a future page.
