Picking a System to Learn
You will soon be presented with about 43 different counting systems and you are going to have to pick one to learn. To decide which one you must determine what you expect from a system, and what will be expected of you. Ask yourself what level of gambler you want to be. Do you want to occasionally go to a casino and have some fun but you don't want to lose your shirt? Do you play regularly and want to pay for most of your trips? Finally, do you want to go pro, and be a full time player?
Is your bankroll for playing what you could get together for the trip, or do you have a bankroll designated just for gambling? Is it renewable should you lose it? Is it large enough to bet at a level to make a living? If you lost it all, would you have to sell your house? If you have a good income and your bankroll is just for the trip, win or lose, and you over bet it, it will probably be lose. It's just fun money, right? But if you are serious about winning, you must play like a pro even if you don't want to be one. You are going to be considered an expert, but not a professional. Most serious experts still have a full time profession. Even if they are good enough to be a professional, they like the security of a steady income.
