Modern Betting Systems: The Hot Streak System
The Hot Streak system is a positive progression where one increases the wager after every two wins, but bets the minimum after a loss. The betting sequence looks like the following:
Bet Number 1 2 3 4 5 6 7
Amount $5 $5 $10 $10 $20 $20 $30
Once a loss occurs, bet the $5 minimum until a win, then enter the above sequence at bet 2. The source for this is Peter Svoboda from his book, Beating the Casinos at Their Own Game. It is a slowly progressing version of the anti-Martingale. As a student of Blackjack betting systems, this looks surprisingly similar to Donald Dahl's system. It is as follows:
Bet Number 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 Amount $5 $5 $7.50 $7.50 $10 $10 $15
Dahl's progression is slower, but the form is the same, with two alike bets followed by two at a higher level.
The goal in using the hot streak system is to capitalize on long winning streaks. If you look closely, if you win 2 and lose the third bet, you have nothing. You must win three in a row to show any profit. With Dahl's system, if you win two but lose the third, you still have a half unit to show for your efforts.
Because there is similarity between Roulette outside, even money bets and Blackjack, almost all of the Blackjack betting progressions may be used. For more information about them and their authors, go to Roulette betting progressions in this site.
