This subsection of the website is different from the rest of the site. I have
recently become concerned with the state of our economy, and have
undergone a study of what is happening, politically, economically, socially, and
morally. We are in a downward spiral and the future doesn't look promising.
President Obama doesn't have a clue how to "fix" our economy, and neither
does Congress. They have put together a so-called stimulus bill which is a way
to get funding for pet liberal projects. Most of the projects create very few
jobs and won't come on-line for a year or more. This means it will fail to turn
around the economy any time soon. We are losing jobs at an alarming rate
and spiralling downward. At the same time, the Fed is printing money at
maximum capacity. Since October, 2008, they have doubled the number of
dollars in circulation. They are doing this to fill the government's need for cash
for TARP, guarantees for failing banks, and the usual deficit spending.
Revenues are down due to job losses, and as more jobs are lost, revenues will
slide further down. It will go on and on. We are on the road to a depression
and it can't be stopped. You, your spouse, and your friends, neighbors, and
family may be unemployed soon.
What else is going on? Potential threats abound. Following is a list of potential
disasters which may soon be headlines:
Iran soon will have a nuclear weapon. Once their nuclear reactor is running, it
should provide them with a couple of nuclear warheads a year. It won't take
long for those crazies to set one off somewhere in the middle east, probably
Israel. They just sent up a satellite. This shows they have the rocket power
to get a nuke into space. Fallout is dangerous, especially to the thyroid gland,
but it can be blocked.
Terrorists are salivating to attack America again. With our open borders, and
freedom to move about, they are here. It has been said, though no one really
knows, that terrorists have already smuggled nuclear bombs - so called
suitcase nukes - into the US and are waiting for the word to set them off. I
don't know whether this is true, but it is possible. If a few of these go off, we
will be sent into utter chaos.
Avian flu cases in China. With air travel, an outbreak in China is like an
outbreak in the next state over. This could be our next pandemic. About two
thirds of those who become infected die. It is spread by the respiratory route,
so with proper prevention, you can be safe.
The cost of food is going up. The world population is growing, creating
increased demand. Due to increased cost of fuel and fertilizer, ethanol
production, and drought, food is becoming ever more expensive. Some third
world countries can barely feed their people.
Also on this topic, if we suffer an economic catastrophe, there will be an
interruption of the food supply right here in the USA. Most Americans have
little food stored. We are so accustomed to the grocery shelves being full of
plenty of food from all over the world. That could change with a stock market
crash, economic collapse, epidemic, natural disaster, or terrorist attack. In
the course of a few hours the shelves would be emptied. You should prepare
now by stocking up your pantry with food. It is cheap now, but it won't be
when disaster strikes.
There may not be global warming, but in recent years we have had more
earthquakes, more high category hurricanes, rumbling at some super
volcanoes, severe weather, and abnormal weather.
The end of the Mayan calendar is coming up on Dec. 21, 2012. Whether this
or any other prophesies such as Nostradamas, Edgar Cayce, or the Bible could
have an effect on our world in the immediate future is purely speculative. I
have studied Bible prophecy and am absolutely convinced we are in the end
times, but I won't even speculate whether we are a day, a month, a year, or
three years from the start of the Great Tribulation. No on knows, not even
the Son (Jesus), but only the Father (GOD) in Heaven. There is only one way
to prepare for the spiritual end, and that is accepting Jesus.
That was a lot of doom and gloom. The question is, with all of these calamities
bearing down on us, can I prepare? My answer is yes you can! You can
prepare spiritually, mentally financially, and physically. There is a lot of good
information out there: books, websites, blogs, and people in your
neighborhood. I will help as much as I can, and I will link you to places that
have helped me.
