Chapter One - How Blackjack is Played
Easy Blackjack for the Average Joe begins with a
chapter on how to play Blackjack for the inexperienced
player. Even if you have never sat down at a Blackjack
table, you will be comfortable once you have read
Chapter One. A copy of it is on this website on the
page, How to Play.
Chapter Two - Basic Strategy for the Average Joe
Chapter Two introduces the reader to Basic Strategy. Basic Strategy is the heart
of playing Blackjack. Knowing Basic Strategy alone will make you a very competent
player. The Basic Strategy chart tells you the correct move to make against the
dealer up cards. You will want to know it, but until you have learned it, you may
take a copy to the tables. The casinos don't mind. You can copy the Basic Strategy
I give you on this website, and laminate it to carry it with you. It was developed
and tested using over one trillion simulated hands. It can be used when playing
any number of decks, so you only have to learn one strategy.
Chapter Three - How to Learn Basic Strategy
Chapter three helps you learn the Basic Strategy. If you are new to Blackjack, the
table with literally hundreds of moves to learn would seem a daunting task. I
break it down to a simpler form and you tackle one section at a time. E-Z Basic
Strategy is color coded to make learning it a visual experience as well. In no time
you will have it down.
Chapter Four - Problem Hands and Dilemmas
This chapter gives advice on the most common dilemmas you will face. Areas like
doubling down, splitting aces, surrender, and insurance are discussed. Other
authors opinions were given as well as mine. This gives you the benefit of several
books in one place.
Chapter Five - Progressive Betting Systems
Next, in Chapter Five, I compiled ten of the best progressive betting systems out
there. You might not have known there were so many. Full credit is given to the
source, so, again, you get the benefit of many books in one. Three of the betting
systems were developed for and are unique to Easy Blackjack.
Chapter Six - Betting for the Average Joe
Now I reveal E-Z Bet, the progressive betting sequence which is the heart of the
book. The original idea was conceived in Reno over twenty years ago. Thanks to
high speed computers and state of the art software, it became a reality. The
system has been tested mathematically, on the computer, and where it counts, at
the casinos. It is a simple, easy way to win. You will be amazed at the success
rate you will have. I seldom experience a losing session. Usually when I do, it is
because I ran into a "hot" dealer, and I did not leave the table when I should
have. Most of the time you will experience a slow, steady growth of your stack of
chips. It is not a get rich quick style of play, but more of a "grind" - slow and
steady. I try to double my session bankroll, then wait for the table to cool, then
leave.
Chapter Seven - Joe, Do the Math
In this chapter I evaluate each system from Chapters Five and Six. I use a simple
formula based on the number of wins and losses in a row to calculate the
winnings and losses of all the systems. I then created a table to put them all
together so you could compare them. E-Z Bet won out, but many of the systems
did quite well.
Chapter Eight - If You Must Count
I included this chapter on an easy counting system, not for the reader to use it as
a counting system, but to have an idea if the ten count was favorable for making
playing decisions. Knowing if there was a shortage of tens could affect one's
decision to double down or simply hit a higher risk double down.
Chapter Nine - Money Management
Every Blackjack book has a chapter on money management and mine is no
exception. Managing your money (and yourself) is critical for you to both win and
leave a winner. A couple of real-life examples help drive home the point.
Chapter Ten - Advice for Picking a Table
This chapter is more than just picking a table. It includes a very important list of
Things To Remember, and Making E-Z Bet Work For You. These two sections give
you solid advice which will make you into a consistent WINNER.
Blackjack can be beaten. By learning the Basic Strategy alone you become a very
strong player. Add E-Z Bet and you will become a winning player. Add a little
money management common sense, and you will become a consistent winner. The
casino will be paying for your gaming holidays.
